Connected for the first time, Axoloti is not recognized

Hi everyone,
I'm sure this is a newbie question but I couldn't find an answer in the forum.
I bought an Axoloti on 2016 and only know I had the time to switch it on (I know, it's a shame!).
I installed on my MacOS 10.13.6 bith the Axoloti sw and runtime, connected themachine to the computer via USB, opened the Axoloti sw... and... nothing happens.

Precisely this is the log of the sw:

Axoloti version : 1.0.12-2-0-g7975cc87 build time : 09/04/2018 13:15:31 GMT
Link to firmware CRC E95BAC96
Status: factory (1.0.12,anon) : OK ( 1.0.12,clean )
Status : home : OK
Status: community (1.0.12,anon) : OK ( 1.0.12,clean )
No available USB device found with matching PID/VID
search path : /Users/mvl/Documents/axoloti/axoloti-factory/objects
search path : /Users/mvl/Documents/axoloti/objects
search path : /Users/mvl/Documents/axoloti/axoloti-contrib/objects
finished loading objects"

What should I do? Thank you for all the help.

Hey

Check this thread for some ideas:

Wait! I didn't! You mean that the USB cable is not enough for powering the Axoloti Core?
In that case what current would be ok? 600mA 9V I suppose, right?
I'll look for a proper transformer and check your suggestions!
Thank you!

The USB cable IS enough to power the Axoloti. But maybe you only have a USB cable without the data pins connected? The SUB cable sometime comes only for charging and without the data transfer pins connected.

The second post, from Johannes, which I linked above, suggested trying a flash rescue.

That was one of the things you could try

Well, I'm almost embarrassed, but... I can't see any button and any led on my Axoloti Core.
Where are they? Are we sure we are talking about the same model?

next to the usb Host connector, to the left, in the top edge of the board there are milimetric buttons and leds
