Thanks for the compliment about Music for Starships. It is a good representation of my musical goals and also of the versatility of my present system. Other stuff that migth interest you can be found all over my electronic music page.

Needless to say that I love your examples as well. More please.

How did you do the "lead vocal"on Aria Andomeda? It seems sample based but is at the same time rahter expressive. Or is that mostly because of your playing?

Balinese Sapcecraft reminds me a bit of Wendy Carlos' Beauty In the Beast and Deep Forest.

Moment mal!. Hans Glueck and most commments being in German: Wherabouts are you living? I live just across the German / Dutch border.

hi brasso, yes i am german but i live very isolated in south west portugal. i will be happy to listen to more of your stuff. what sort of a keyboard system is that what you are using? do you have a link to explanations? im interested in a keyboard. since i am not a keyboard player i am always looking for something else than a keyboard. but maybe it is time to use one.
aria andromeda is made in ableton. i used a open source vst plugin caled alter/ego for the vocals. it has several expression controlls.
i guess there is no end to make it better.

Phoo, where to start

The music I make is very much connected to the instrument I use and vise versa. Most stuff you heard on Music For Starship was for instance made on my Starship One setup, hence the title. This means that almost all the sounds came from the synthesis engine of the 1995 Techncis WSA1 acoustic modeling synthesizer. So if you are looking for a cheap second hand stands alone synthesizer that might be a good start, especailly since you already have some experience with thinking in advanced synthesis programming terms. And even if you only need a good keyboard to control your AXOLOTI / computers via MIDI you could do much worse because it has a lot of inbuilt hardware controllers by itself.

The Starship One adds even more advanced control options to the WSA's basis. Almost everyhting on Music For Starships was also played on the Jnako type isomorphic / uniform keyboard convertors I built.

I could go on for hours. If you are interested I recommend you read the liner notes that accompany all projects and for deeper techncial backgrounds you can read the articles on the Writing page: http://www.brassee.com/writing.html#music
