Axoloti Disconnects when have more than 2 SDcard read objects

So i managed to get the axo to play samples from the sdcard but when i add more than 1 sdcard sample reader objects and press live it disconnets... even without any samples looked up....

Anyone who experienced this?! anyone who might have a solution?!

Here is the patch and pictures of the editor and the start screen... got it into live mode... as soon as a put in the first "hit" in the first sequencer line the board disconnected...

I just reinstalled the Editor and "updated" the firmware but nothing helped

Could it be the SDcard?!

don't panic :wink:
patch think its ok (other then 0 gain - no sound)

Disconnect; lets see if others can take a look and solve our issue.
Meanwhile can you try with other samples? (with close attention to "nature" of file)

Yeah i could try withother samples just not so happy happy right now... i know the patch is fine other than the gain... but if it cant take more than one sample and crash then big parts of the idea of getting it is gone....

this is probably due to the previous reported problems, which @johannes has fixed, but has not been released yet, see https://sebiik.github.io/community.axoloti.com.backup/t/load-sample-from-sd-to-waveplayer-crashes/178/32

I think @keyman has already updated his objects from the repo, which is why he is not getting it any more :smile:

Kalle, the above post explains how you can get the newer version prior to release.

It finally runs but i need to "restart" the axo some times before it loads up proper.. its like it restarts the axo.. i will have a look thru the post thx beartecher

with the new versions i got 3 Play fn objects to run when i add a 4 of them and press live even without asking it to look up a sample it crash

Either wait for a new release (with the fix on wave play) or you can download from github here:
https://github.com/axoloti/axoloti/tree/master/objects/wave and replace this object.
navigate to the file, right-click->save link as on the "raw" button.
(i'm on mac so not much help beyond this)

i didt that this morning... tried the new objects.... 3 objects and 4 can be there in live but with no sample and not connected to the mixer object... when i connect the nr.4 play fn object to the mixer object and press live the core board restarts... then i can go back to the Main axoloti window connect the board to the editor again go back in the patch disconnet the nr.4 play fn object from the mixer and press live... then it runs... but thats how far it goes... and its wierd...

screenshots don't help, if you send me patch + samples I can try it out.
( I don't have time to start building patches, and converting wav files - sorry)

how big are the samples? have you tried smaller samples?

important... did you test your SD Card, check the SD card performance thread, check you are getting similar to those reported there - could be a bad sd card.

I assume you are always getting the same error, i.e. it disconnects

did you replace the objects? also you probably need to take the streamer.h file as well.
(I don't know for sure as not checked code)

are you finding sometimes it runs, sometimes not... if so Id suspect its the previous issue, you will find out the issues I had , prior to the fix,in the above thread.

from memory I had at least 12 running I last tried this, using the latest build of the software, but it was of the same sample.
